Stockport pre-season friendly tickets now on sale
Written by Joe Edgar
We are delighted to announce that tickets are now on sale for the pre-season friendly against League Two side Stockport County.
The clash will take place on Saturday, July 15th at 3pm; our third scheduled friendly of the summer. A friendly between the two clubs for the second consecutive season extends the positive relationship between the two sides, whilst also making for an exciting spectacle.
The last time the two sides met, County came out on top with a 2-0 victory, thanks to two early goals. Paddy Madden converted a penalty and Fraser Horsfall added a second with a header.
Following that game, Stockport went on to have an excellent season, their first campaign in the Football League for 11 years. They managed to reach the play-off final but, unfortunately, their hopes of back-to-back promotions were agonisingly dashed at Wembley with a defeat to Carlisle on penalties.
Coming back this year, it will be a great test for Alty as we look to build momentum heading into the start of the season.
After the recent acquisition of Chris Conn-Clarke for a club record fee, the near future is exciting for the Robins, and this fixture provides you with even more incentive to renew or purchase a season ticket, as season ticket holders gain free entry.
For those without a season ticket, entry is £10 for adults and £5 for concessions and U16’s for both home and away fans. Match tickets can be purchased here!
