Sam Mackenzie, Director of Partnerships and Sponsors, writes
As we watched Wrexham and Notts County move on up, my thoughts turned to our very own superheroes as we closed the 22/23 season.
Our volunteers, our season ticket holders, the families that turn up en masse for hot dogs and football. Our community. Our juniors. Our town. Our schools.
As is natural I began to focus my attention on our commercial heroes.
J.Davidson, who sponsored our Beer Festival and are now helping us move goalposts we own from Manor Farm for our Academy to use at their new home at Wythenshawe Town. CarFinance247 and McHale and Co, who supported our volunteers attending the end-of-season awards. All proudly represented again on our shirts with continued kit sponsorship for 23/24.
Add People, who funded our very first scoreboard. MyProtein, who fuel our players. Mornflake who provide breakfast to the first teamers at Egerton and have their named above our magnificent Sponsors' Lounge. The HR Dept, who support our Women's Team. PPP Management, sponsoring our reserves. PFP Wealth Group, who sponsored the Altrincham FC Golf Day, with more to come as we grow together.
Marc Darcy, Flannels, Cottons, Black Opal Travel, Harvey Nichols, all giving generous prizes to our end-of-season champions.
Venditan are again positioned behind both goals.
Manchester Glass supporting Jake Moult's Testimonial. Radio Alty, who share our news with the local community every week with our very own slot.
The Altrincham FC Business Club, who meet every month for networking, with 40 local businesses joining together at our stadium to hear speakers sharing their expertise with us.
Manchester United, who hosted our volunteers; we continue to forge a lasting relationship with them.
CATAX, who sit above our gantry where our media team preside over the games.
The Chamber of Commerce and The Altrincham BID, who work tirelessly to promote local businesses, both of whom the club support.
Building partnerships in and around Altrincham is vital as we push forward with our commercial plan. There are exciting sponsorships coming soon as we develop creative ways to work with businesses.
All the people I have the privilege to work with make a difference. It sounds obvious, but we literally couldn’t do it without them. Their contribution and support during 22/23 has been phenomenal and continues to go from strength to strength.
I thank everyone who has commercially participated with us - we need you!
Not all superheroes wear capes - anyone got Thor's mobile phone number?
