The young Robins made a bright start to the game, frustrating Guiseley and creating chance after chance after winning the ball back in high attacking areas time after time.

Alty triggered the home side to start kicking the ball longer in an attempt to get in behind, but in the early stages, everything was dealt with brilliantly by the Robins' back line and two midfielders.

Midway through the first half, the ball was beaten back off another Alty trap and moved on brilliantly to Lavin by Martin. Lavin then sent an inch-perfect ball to the on-rushing Mannion, who slotted it past the helpless keeper to open the scoring.

In the final stages of the half, the opposition managed to gain some slight momentum, winning a lot of set pieces, but they were all dealt with, largely by a couple of sharp saves by keeper Noble.

In the early stages of the second half, the young Robins fought to regain the momentum but were pegged back against the run of play, as the home side equalised.

Guiseley's winger managed to spring free from a lucky rebound and deliver the ball into the box, and, despite a couple of strong blocks from Watts and St Romaine, it was eventually tapped into an open goal.

Alty didn’t stop working and deservedly restored their lead when Martin carved through the middle of the back line and exploited space at the keeper's near the post to slot home tidily.

Shortly after, Martin skipped past a defender and was brought down inside the box for a penalty that he slotted home into the bottom right brilliantly to make it 3-1.

Another goal soon followed, as Noble played an inch perfect ball which Obamwanyi ran on to and smartly lofted over the keeper's head into the back of the net to make it 4-1.

Alty were completely dominant, and a fantastic performance was rounded off by a brilliant Watson first-time strike from the edge of the box, as he smashed a rebound into the bottom left corner.
