Quarter-final on the horizon for Alty

Focus switches to the Alliance Design and Print Plate for Altrincham FC Women, who host FC St Helens Women in the Quarter Final at Partington Sports Village.
FC St Helens compete in Division One Central of the North West Women’s Regional League and are flying at the top of the table with 12 wins, one draw and one loss.
The Stripes go into the tie with 10 consecutive wins behind them in all competitions, with their last defeat coming on 9 th November against Ashton Town Ladies.
Altrincham will have their work cut out but will take confidence from beating high quality opponents such as Nantwich Town, and step five side Ponteland United in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup back in November, which was the last time the Robins kept a clean sheet.
They came close to a shut out last weekend against Liverpool Feds Reserves Women, though conceded a consolation goal in the 90 th minute, winning 6-1 thanks to braces from Georgia McKnight, Kira Saycell and Francesca Boyle.
Altrincham beat Chorley Women Development 3-2 in the Preliminary Round and were set to travel to Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies Reserves, but the Robins were awarded a walkover to progress to the quarter final.
For St Helens, they advanced to this stage thanks to a 2-1 victory over Division One North high-flyers Preston North End.
Elite U18

Sandbach United U18 Hawks in the Cheshire Women's and Youth League U18 Premier
Division.
After a dominant 7-0 victory over the Junioe U17 Swifts in the Manchester FA Girls Cup U18, the young Robins were victorious 4-2 over West Kirby thanks to two goals from both Amelie Heathcote and Tia Unwin, who only progressed from the junior setup a few weeks ago.
The Robins now sit fourth in the table though still have games in hand on both Stockport County Ladies U18 and Nantwich Town U18 Girls above them. For Sandbach, they sit rock bottom with just one win.
Sancbach’s victory came just over a month ago, winning 1-0 on the road Vale Juniors Congleton U18 Girls.
Altrincham and Sandbach faced each other in September at Partington Sports Village, with the Robins coming out 7-1 winners.
