The young Robins got off to a positive start in Boston, applying pressure in the early stages of the game.

While they were dominating, Alty worked the ball out to Chandler, who beat his man with great skill before finding Shtyhlian with a cut-back, only for the forward's attempt on goal to be brilliantly saved by the Boston keeper.

Alty continued to keep possession and control the game, looking comfortable playing out from the back, with Powell and Bywater confidently playing through the lines and finding Raymond and Weston.

They continued to maintain a supply to Chandler, who had the beating of his man, and more chances followed as they carried on attacking down the left-hand side through Chandler and Shythlian.

After a spell of Alty dominance, Boston capitalised on a clearance from a Robins corner, which led to a counterattack, forcing Noble into a good save.

Shortly after, a lapse at the back by Alty was pounced on by the Boston number nine, and when a bouncing ball struck the hand of Bywater, a penalty was awarded that led to Boston going in front.

Despite more chances coming and going, Boston managed to hold on to their 1-0 lead going into half-time.

Alty continued to have more chances at the start of the second half, but they were unable to convert any of them.

Shortly after, a loose ball over the top caught out the Alty defence, and Boston's number nine latched on to it to double his side's lead.

Shortly after, the Boston keeper presented a gift to Shythlian with a loose pass, but the golden opportunity was not taken by the Alty number nine.

Boston began to grow in the game and made it 3-0 with a lofted shot over Noble into the far corner with a brilliant finish.

Alty looked down and out and could not launch a late comeback, despite creating more chances, and it turned into a disappointing result for the visitors.
