Well done, Emmanuel and Oscar, our latest award winners!
Congratulations to Emmanuel Serrano and Oscar Davies, the latest winners of the club’s popular volunteer-of-the-month award.
Retail revenue plays a vital role in the financial wellbeing of any football club, and it’s more important than ever to Alty after the recent bold decision to go full-time.
So news that last season’s takings set a new record could hardly have been more timely or welcome, and it was, in no small measure, down to the sterling efforts of Emmanuel (pictured) and Oscar.
Both season ticket holders, their invaluable contribution was recognised by Alty director John Coyne, who said: “I’m delighted that Emmanuel and Oscar have won this award. Last season proved an exceptional one in terms of retail revenues for the club, smashing all previous records by some distance.
“None of that would have been possible without the support of these two guys. Oscar was ever-present on a matchday, whilst Emmanuel, who also picked up other jobs for the club across the last 12 months, supported for around two-thirds of the fixtures, enjoying a short sabbatical around the birth of his son, Enzo.
“They've both played an exceptional part in the journey over the past 12 months, and, on behalf of the board, I would like to express sincere thanks for their efforts."
Our gratitude also goes to Blanchflower Bakery & Kitchen for their kind and generous support in providing a £30 voucher for each monthly winner to be spent in their excellent town centre restaurant.
Well done, Emmanuel and Oscar, and enjoy the Blanchflower experience!
