Five wins from six games and three home wins on the spin have Alty heading into Saturday's home game with Hornchurch with plenty of momentum.

Neil Gibson's side will be looking to hit the playoff places for the first time this season, with the similarly placed Urchins standing in their way at The J.Davidson Stadium.

"Really looking forward to Saturday's game. It's been great to have a full week of work on the training pitch with the players, after playing three games in seven days the week before.

"The level of performance and physical demands of the games against Hartlepool and Fylde, playing Wednesday and Saturday, has meant it's been good to manage the load this week and have everyone tuned up and ready for the challenge that Hornchurch will bring.

"They've started really well and deserve to be where they are in the table, riding the wave of momentum from their promotion last season. So we're going to need the fantastic support we've had at home and away to be right behind us again as we try to extend our good form."

We open the turnstiles at 1:30pm, with home fans able to enjoy the build-up to kick-off in the extended Fan Zone and CSH Bar.

Expect excellent beers from the likes of Pomona Island and Sureshot to be pouring throughout the afternoon in the Fan Zone, while you can get a delicious curry dishes PLUS award-winning Cottoms pie from numerous outlets around the stadium.

Security on Matchdays

Working closely with our stewarding team, and in consultation with Greater Manchester Police, we are carrying out screening procedures to prevent potential weapons or prohibited items from entering the ground. These checks are now becoming common practice at football stadiums across the country and are part of our shared responsibility to protect each other.

The introduction of Martyn’s Law (Terrorism Protection of Premises Act 2025) has also placed greater emphasis on the legal duty of venues like ours to assess risks and have robust safety plans in place. While much of this reflects what we already do, it reinforces the need for vigilance and preparation in today’s world.

We completely understand that supporters may sometimes feel these checks go too far. However, we want to be clear: safety will always come first. Our goal is to provide the best possible matchday experience in a safe and welcoming environment for all.
