Easter Monday means a trip to York City

Just four games remain of the 2025/26 Enterprise National League season and it's to title challengers York City we go on Easter Monday afternoon (3pm).

The Robins hit the road looking for a positive response to Good Friday's late defeat to FC Halifax Town at The J.Davidson Stadium, as we attempt to finish off the season on a high.

The Opposition

Stuart Maynard's Minstermen are the new leaders of the Enterprise National League after their 1-0 win at Boston United on Good Friday drew them level with Rochdale on points, but ahead via a vastly superior goal difference.

The league's highest scorers - with 107 goals so far in 2025/26 - have won 15 of their 21 home games and last dropped points at the LNER Community Stadium on January 17th against Southend United.

Hear It From Neil Gibson

"We have to patch everyone up and go again. York have a certain style of play that's very easy to see, but not so easy to defend against.

"We dust ourselves down, prepare with the players that we've got available and it's got to be a big, big effort."

Last Time Out

A closely fought post-Christmas clash at The J.Davidson Stadium saw Alty push the promotion contenders all the way, despite playing much of the match with 10 men following Owen German's early red card.

Lucas Weaver's late equaliser looked to have preserved Alty's long unbeaten run against the Minstermen, only for Olly Pearce to hit an injury-time time winner.
