Ticket arrangements for Oldham Cup tie
Message from the Board
Home tickets are now on sale for the forthcoming Emirates FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie against Oldham Athletic on Saturday 14th October, with a 3pm kick off.
Given the high profile of the game, this fixture will be all-ticket, with no plans for cash entry on the day. Season Ticket holders have had advanced notice of tickets going on sale, as Season Tickets are not valid for FA Cup games.
Only home tickets are available through the Altrincham FC website, with Oldham Athletic fans able to buy theirs from Boundary Park once the physical tickets are received next week.
Given the significant demand from our opponents, and after consulting with various authorities, we will be giving the Latics fans two sections of the Popular Side in addition to the Chequers End.
This decision has been taken first and foremost with safety in mind, as failing to cater sufficiently for demand runs the risk of away fans finding their way into the home sections of the ground. This is also behind our decision to make the game all-ticket, as we can take the precaution of monitoring postcodes of those purchasing home tickets.
Despite having to respond accordingly to those factors, we still have over 3,000 tickets at the disposal of home fans, and we fully expect, therefore, to be able to accommodate all Alty supporters who wish to attend.
Our fans will occupy the bottom end of the Pop Side (by the Fan Zone), the Golf Road End and all of the Main Stand side, with the exception of 56 seats in the Family Stand that have been allocated to Oldham.
Given the size of the crowd, we are opening the turnstiles 30 minutes earlier than usual at 1pm, and, as was the case when we had huge crowds against FC Halifax Town and Wrexham last season, we thank you in advance for getting to the ground earlier than usual.
We will make sure we issue further information as the game approaches, and we thank you for your support.
