Brackley Town are Alty's next challenge

Alty hit the road once again this Saturday for an Enterprise National League clash in Northamptonshire against Brackley Town.

The Robins will be looking to respond in a positive fashion following Tuesday's difficult defeat at Tamworth, as they attempt to make it three wins from their last four games.

The Opposition

Last season's National League North champions sit one place (19th) and one point (36) below the Robins heading into this weekend's clash.

Last week The Saints appointed former Banbury, Solihull and Barrow boss Andy Whing as their new boss, following the recent departure of title-winning manager Gavin Cowan to Shrewsbury Town.

Since Whing's arrival at St James Park our hosts have lost 3-0 at home to Southend United last Saturday and 2-1 at Wealdstone in midweek.

Hear It From Neil Gibson

“The players fully understand the importance of getting back to winning ways after Tuesday. We've trained very well in the lead up to this weekend and we'll be ready to take on the challenge of Brackley come 3pm on Saturday."

You can watch Neil's full pre-game chat with Alty TV's Tom Jolley here PLUS a quick catch-up with captain Tom Crawford here.

Earlier This Season

A 2-1 win for the Robins back in November at The J.Davidson Stadium in front of 1,902 supporters.

James Gale's first half opener was added to by Tom Crawford early in the second half, before Connor Hall pulled one back from the visitors in stoppage time.
