Altrincham FC Delivers £13.5M Impact as Club Builds for the Future
The 2024 calendar year was a landmark for Altrincham Football Club, not just in terms of growth on the pitch, but in the lasting impact we’re having across our local community.
Our recently released Social Impact Report shows Altrincham Football Club delivered a massive £13,589,400 in social value last year, reinforcing our role as a vital part of the local landscape.
This is all about everything we do as a football club. From creating jobs, developing young talent to investing in improving the matchday experience, Alty is proud to be a club that delivers on and off the pitch.
Football First, Always
We’ve always believed that football can be a force for good — and that starts with how we operate as a club. In 2024:
- We employed 48 full-time staff and supported 62 regular volunteers, all playing a part in what we deliver week in, week out.
- Over £1 million in employment and skill development value was created through roles at the club, including apprenticeships, training, and career pathways.
- We welcomed an average of 2,100 fans through the gates each matchday, making The J. Davidson Stadium a buzzing hub for football in the North West.
Investing in the Matchday Experience
One of the highlights of the year was the continued success of our Fan Zone, a lively space where supporters can enjoy food, drink, and entertainment before, during and after a game. Alongside wider stadium upgrades, the Fan Zone space has added environmental and neighbourhood value and took our matchday experience to the next level.
We also continued investing in the people behind the scenes, with staff gaining qualifications in media, matchday operations, medical, stewarding and safety, making Alty a more professional and welcoming place for all.
Looking Ahead: A Clear Plan for Growth
Everything we do as a football club has a clear focus on:
- Growing our fanbase and matchday experience
- Strengthening our ties with local partners and sponsors
- Continuing to lead on inclusion, sustainability, and development as we work with Altrincham FC Community Sports (eg: offering our Trust 1,000 free tickets)
- Cementing our place as a progressive, community-rooted football club
“We work hard to embed ourselves in the very heart of the town — and we’re starting to see the positive impact that brings, both on and off the pitch.” - Sam Mackenzie, CEO, Altrincham FC
This is what modern non-league football should look like; competitive, community-minded, and ambitious. And we’re only just getting started.
