Joe signed for the Robins on a season long loan from division rivals Oldham Athletic in the summer of 2024.

After leaving Manchester City, Joe played for Aberdeen, Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool and Scunthorpe United before moving to Boundary Park in 2022.
