Blow for Barrows as FA hit defender with three-game ban

Altrincham right-back Ross Barrows has been handed a three-match ban by the FA over an incident in last week’s Vanarama National League fixture with Wealdstone at The J.Davidson Stadium.

The clash with Wealdstone left-back Lewis Kinsella was missed by referee Greg Rollason, who booked James Jones and visiting centre-back Jack Cook for their part in the melee that followed it.

But it was picked up on video, and the FA have now informed Alty that Barrows has been found guilty of violent conduct and must serve a three-match suspension.

Alty’s summer signing from King’s Lynn Town will therefore miss this Saturday’s game with York City at The J.Davidson Stadium, kicking off at 5.20pm due to being screened live on BT Sport, and the fixtures at Woking, the following Saturday, and home to Eastleigh, the Saturday after that.
