Altrincham 3 Guiseley 3

Coming off two back-to-back draws, the Altrincham Academy set out to go for all three points against visiting side Guiseley.

The young Robins were dealt an early blow, however, as a threatening Guiseley attack led to an opening goal for the visitors. A strong precise strike from the edge of the box found Max Beddow's bottom left corner, leaving the young keeper no chance.

Not long after, the visitors struck again. This time, a dangerous corner wasn’t cleared properly and was clinically finished off by the opposition's number nine.

After this, the football started to flow for the young Robins as they grabbed a foothold in the game, looking for a quick response.

And that they found when superb wing play from Jack Chandler saw him dance past his opposing full-back and cut the ball across to Max Whittle, who continued his scoring form by calmly slotting it away.

Paul Fay's side came out for the second half and started it more strongly than they did the first, searching for an equaliser.

Midfield partners Joe Weston and Harry Watson started to dominate the game, while substitute striker Harrison Howells had a strong start off the bench.

However, Guiseley responded, hitting back with their third as a loose pass was punished by a ball over the top, which enabled their number seven to tuck away his second of the afternoon.

Again, the relentless young Robins struck back when great play from Kian Gonzalez found the feet of Howells, who finished superbly to put Altrincham within one goal of their opponents.

In a flash, Howells had a double. A great pass in behind found the substitute again, who tucked away his second with such class to draw the Robins level.

With both teams searching for a winner, the referee blew the full-time whistle, making it three draws in a row for the young Robins.
