Alty travel to Hampshire on Saturday to take on Vanarama National League play-off rivals Eastleigh at the Silverlake Stadium (kick-off 3pm).

Setting the Scene

With both sides just one point off the play-off places, this match holds some significance. A win for either team would see them solidify themselves firmly in the fight for a play-off spot.

Altrincham are approaching this game on a high, after a resounding 4-0 win over Maidenhead United on Tuesday. A hat-trick from Alex Newby and a 16th of the season for Regan Linney had the job done in the first half for the Robins, allowing them to comfortably cruise to three points.

Eastleigh are currently in a remarkable run of form, as they are unbeaten in their last eleven matches in all competitions. Tyrese Shade is the player to look out for on Saturday, with four goals and two assists in his last six matches.

“Eastleigh's a really difficult place to go and we're playing against a team who haven't lost for a long time. It'll be a really tough game, Eastleigh are very strong at home and it's an important game with both teams on the same points, battling away in play-off contention.

"We've had a really positive start to 2025 with the two wins against Barnet and Maidenhead and we want to continue this weekend and beyond."

Last time against Eastleigh

Alty were unlucky in the reverse fixture back in August, losing 1-0 at The J.Davidson Stadium despite a positive performance against the then unbeaten Spitfires. 

The only goal came when Chris Maguire converted from the penalty spot in the 72nd minute.
