Alty welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Premier League 2 side to The J.Davidson Stadium on Tuesday evening (7:30pm kick-off) in the National League Cup.

All three of our matches in the competition so far have been exciting encounters, but in case you needed any more persuasion, here are five reasons why you should attend our clash with Wolves on Tuesday.

Free football

Goals galore

The Robins have played three matches in the National League Cup so far, with these games yielding 15 goals and creating some exciting moments, including a penalty shoot-out win over Blackburn Rovers and playing Manchester United u21s in front of over 3,500 fans.

Phil Parkinson takes pride in the attacking style of football that his Altrincham side adopt, so any match involving Alty is sure to deliver chances, goals and big moments.

Qualification on the cards

Alty sit fifth in Group B on five points, just two behind second-placed Oldham Athletic (only the top two teams in the group advance), meaning it’s still all to play for in this competition.

If the Robins can claim all three points with a win after 90 minutes, they will be well-placed to challenge for qualification to the knockout stages.

Watch the next generation of Premier League talent

The National League Cup also provides fans with a chance to watch up-and-coming Premier League talent touted for success.

One of the main purposes of the competition was to give young Premier League 2 players a chance to compete against teams from the most competitive division in England, the National League.

On Tuesday, you will be able to observe talent from the academy that produced international talents Robbie Keane, Joleon Lescott and Morgan Gibbs-White to name but a few.

Experience a midweek match under the lights

Come down on Tuesday and support the Robins in an enjoyable midweek atmosphere under the lights. Turnstiles open at 6:30pm with kick-off at 7:30pm.

For those who can't make it, tune into Radio Robins on Radio Alty from 7:15pm. Commentary will be brought to you by Erin Carroll and Phil Salt.
