Take a bow, all our volunteers - the United Nations salutes you!
Today, Monday 5th December, is the United Nations International Volunteer Day, where the UN recognise the massive contribution made by volunteers, of which there are more than 800 million worldwide.
And many of the very best of them find their way to The J. Davidson Stadium, woven deep into the fabric of the club.
Altrincham FC would not be the club it was without our volunteers – from media to hospitality, turnstiles to stewarding, groundstaff to commercial operations and kit to matchday operations, every aspect of our club is underpinned by those who give up their time for their love of Altrincham FC. And we love you all right back!
As the club continues to progress, we will no doubt see some of the roles evolve – most clearly, in the last 12 months, we have seen this with stewarding – but make no mistake, this club has been built on the efforts of our volunteers.
And to quote the United Nations themselves, volunteering is where compassion meets solidarity. Both share the same root values – supporting each other from a position of trust, humility, respect and equality.
Thank you all for your tireless support for Altrincham FC
