IT'S time to announce our first team squad numbers for a season that gets underway this Saturday afternoon, when Woking visit The J.Davidson Stadium for a 3pm kick-off (tickets available here).

New skipper Lewis Baines will again have four on his back, with Ethan Ross taking the number one jersey after previously wearing 29 and Jake Cooper switching from 15 to five.

The number 10 shirt that belonged to prolific goalscorer Chris Conn-Clarke will be donned by Alex Newby, while winger Lucas Weaver has been given 17 and the other new arrivals, Kahrel Reddin, Tom Crawford, Tylor Golden and Joe Nuttall will wear 20, 22, 23 and 24 respectively.

We all wish Olly Crankshaw better luck on the fitness front, after his unfortunate injury at the start of last season, and he will be looking forward to pulling on the number seven shirt as he continues to close in on a return to match action.

Two new names added to our squad number list are Remi Thompson and Louie Fallon.

Remi joins us after a successful pre-season trial. The former Fulham, Manchester United & Huddersfield Town youngster made his professional bow in Ireland with Waterford. 

Louie has come through our player pathway development process and has played a number of games in pre-season.

"Remi's really impressed in training and I feel we can develop him further in our full time programme. He's not quite ready for a regular National League first team spot yet, but if called upon I feel he could help us and we can help him improve in our model.

"Louie is an academy player and we feel he's ahead of schedule, so we're delighted with his progress. He'll gain invaluable experience this season as Ethan's understudy" - Phil Parkinson
