We're delighted to confirm winger Matty Kosylo has been nominated for the PFA National League Community Champion award at the prestigious Northwest Football Awards.

The Community Champion category debuted at last year's awards and aims to recognise players who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to their communities alongside their performances on the pitch throughout the 2025/26 season.

On receiving his nomination Matty said: "This nomination has come as a genuine surprise and I'm absolutely thrilled to be up for the award.

"It means an awful lot to be nominated and I'm looking forward to representing myself and the football club at the ceremony later this year. If all our fans could vote for me I would really appreciate it and then we'll see what happens on the night itself."

Our longest serving player, and a huge fan favourite at The J.Davidson Stadium, Matty is up against Carlisle United's Callum Whelan, Morecambe's George Thomas and Rochdale's Sam Beckwith in a public vote, with the winner revealed at the awards ceremony in Manchester on Monday, November 2nd.
