Loan Watch | German, Bailey & Weaver in action

Alty prospect Owen German has won Witton Albion’s Player of The Month Award after a collection of fine performances during October.

He bagged his first goal for the club during this period, and his consistently high-quality performances helped the Albion win 10 points in the Northern Premier League West Division.

Unfortunately, German (and fellow Altrincham youngster Joel Bailey) was unable to continue Witton Albion’s run of form, as his side were on the end of a 2-1 defeat against Clitheroe on Saturday.

After 15 games, they sit 14th in the table with 20 points, only five points behind the last playoff spot.

Elsewhere at the weekend, Altrincham’s exciting young forward, Lucas Weaver, made his debut for his new club, Radcliffe FC. Weaver has scored a plethora of goals in recent months while playing for Bamber Bridge in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, but he will now be able to test himself against tougher opposition in the National League North.

Coming off the bench for the final 30 minutes, Weaver helped Radcliffe secure a 3-1 victory over struggling Rushall Olympic. The Boro remain in the relegation zone even after the victory, but Saturday’s three points closes the gap to safety to only one point.

Finally, Max Beddow, Alty's academy goalkeeper out on loan at Redgate Clayton, was beaten 1-0 by Audley in a tough away fixture. After topping the table not too long ago, Redgate Clayton have slipped down to third place, but they remain within touching distance of those at the top, with only four points separating the top three.

Many thanks to Spencer Hayes Group & Darren Harrison (Lucas Weaver) and Ian Watmore (Owen German) for sponsoring our youngsters this season.
