Joseph's Challenge - No Limits - Week 10

AN all-action return to the UK for Joseph this week as the training and guest appearances continued ahead of next month's No Limits challenge.

Having just arrived back from his visit to Euro 2024 in Germany, Joseph was guest speaker, with his Dad Phil, at our monthly Business Club Breakfast in the J.Davidson Stadium's John King Lounge.

Phil spoke about how the one percent gain approach to training has worked for Joseph and how this can apply across business as well as sport. Joseph also talked about his training and made himself available for photos with our Business Club members, including another special guest, first team manager Phil Parkinson.

Joseph’s training is back in full flow and in the last week ran over 20km, completed the Wilmslow 5km ParkRun for the third time and a 7km run, which is his longest yet.

Houlihan Lokey were named as the latest Official Partner for the No Limits Challenge joining Travel Counsellors with more to come.

We've also started to distribute posters advertising the challenge, if anyone would like one to put up in their place of work, local sports club or favourite cafe please get in touch with Simon Dow (simon@altrinchamfootballclub.co.uk).

Yet another supporter lending support to the Challenge are Trafford Leisure and their CEO Jo Cherrett.

"Meeting Phil and Sam last week to talk about Joseph’s and Phil’s story was both humbling and inspiring," Jo said. "My day job is to inspire and support people to move more every day and after the meeting last week I couldn’t have been inspired more to see how Trafford Leisure can help Joseph with his challenge.

"So many adults and children with a disability in Trafford may not have had the opportunity to take part in activity, they may not often have a voice or know where to go, they may not be confident to try, they may not be able to afford to take part and the funds that will be raised by Joseph will really help to make a difference.

"For children and young people to see what Joseph is doing, what he has achieved is more empowering than any activity or words that I can offer. Don’t ever stop Joseph, good luck and we can’t wait to see you post challenge. We will be cheering you on at the Altrincham 10K."

Don't forget, if you're interested in joining Joseph on his 10th and final 10k of the 'No Limits' Challenge on September 1st, entries are open for the Altrincham 10k which goes right past the J.Davidson Stadium.
