There's still one final Vanarama National League hurdle to clear, away to Aldershot on Saturday, but the thoughts of everyone at The J.Davidson Stadium are increasingly turning towards a special afternoon for a true Alty great 24 hours later.
A decade of unbroken service, a good chunk of it as skipper, is reason enough for Robins devotees to beat a path down Moss Lane to witness Jake Moult taking centre stage at a testimonial match in his honour on Sunday at 1pm.
An unwavering commitment to the cause, not least when the club's fortunes hit rock bottom in 2017, merely adds to the compelling nature of an occasion guaranteed to fill the ground with nostalgia when Jake leads his XI out against an Altrincham XI, two teams packed with household names from the recent past.
Here's another reason for making sure you are there to share in our tribute to the former mainstay of our midfield - it turns out Alty fans can soon start referring to him as 'one of our own.'
Son of Stoke he may be, but when asked about his plans, from a football perspective at least, for that dreaded day when he finally has to hang up his boots, he came up with an answer that will gladden the heart of every Alty fan.
What was the response? It's all in a one-off glossy testimonial match magazine, painstakingly put together as a not-to-be-missed keepsake of what promises to be a memorable, emotion-filled day for a player who gave his all in every single appearance in Alty colours.
In his last-ever Captain's Column, Jake makes it abundantly clear just how much Alty means to him, and will continue to, while his brother Louis, of Wrexham, Motherwell and Preston North End fame, opens up on what it was like growing up with, and looking up to, his older sibling.
There's also a Moult family album and tributes from manager Phil Parkinson, football director Rob Esteva and players who appeared alongside Jake, as well as memories from a play-off campaign in 2020 that ended with promotion to the National League secured and the skipper lifting the trophy after the Robins' 1-0 win in the final at Boston United.
Fittingly, given the bond that always existed between Jake and our fan base, never better illustrated than by the scenes at the end of the final game of last season, there is a What They Said section featuring messages from Alty supporters.
