In-form Robins looking to click in front of TNT cameras!

By Joe Brayne
Altrincham are on the hunt for their third consecutive win this Saturday (5.30 pm kick-off) as we visit the RAW Charging Stadium to take on Oxford City.
This weekend’s TNT Sports televised clash marks the first time we have met Oxford City in the Vanarama National League, with the last encounter dating back to our successful 2013-2014 National League North season.
In Tuesday's match against Maidenhead United, Chris Conn-Clarke’s thunderous strike from distance in the 72nd minute notched his sixth league goal of the campaign and secured three crucial points for the Robins.
Although the Magpies provided stiff resistance, especially after our six-goal romp over Ebbsfleet United just three days earlier, Conn-Clarke’s individual brilliance off a set-piece caught the hosts off guard.
Altrincham manager Phil Parkinson praised his team’s resilience for a midweek away fixture that involved nearly four hours of travel.
“It was a complete away performance,” he commented. “One-Nil. A special moment from Chris Conn-Clarke. Clean sheet. Job done.”

About the Opposition
The Hoops made history last season with a resounding 4-0 victory over St Albans City in the play-offs final, securing their first-ever promotion to the National League.
In their debut season in English football’s fifth-tier, Oxford City have defied expectation. They currently sit above the relegation zone in 19th-place with 11 points, boasting notable victories over Hartlepool and Boreham Wood.
City will enter Saturday with renewed intent, however, following consecutuve 4-0 losses to Gateshead and Oldham in the past week. Despite the recent setbacks, the Hoops have shown surprising defensive solidity, conceding just 16 goals in their opening 10 matches.
Journeyman striker Josh Parker has continued his scintillating form from last season, netting five goals in 11 appearances. While he hasn't scored in his last four matches, this dry spell might be attributed, in part, to jetlag from his international duties with Antigua and Barbados in the CONCACAF National League.
The attacking flair for our hosts is embodied by 19-year-old Fulham loanee Oliver Sanderson. The forward has notched three goals this season, including a powerful set-piece volley against Boreham Wood that secured Oxford's historic first-ever victory in the National League.
