The club, through manager Phil Parkinson, made an offer to retain Alex for the upcoming season on substantially improved terms, reflecting both his contribution and his importance to the squad. However, Alex has chosen to pursue an opportunity elsewhere.

Phil Parkinson has already begun the process of identifying and securing a replacement as preparations for the new campaign continue.
