Alty's first fixture of 2025 comes in the Isuzu FA Trophy fourth round as we welcome Barnet to the J. Davidson Stadium on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

Four wins from Wembley

Initially, this match was scheduled to be the Robins’ second competitive fixture of the new year, but due to a waterlogged pitch, our fixture away at Rochdale had to be postponed.

As a result, Phil Parkinson and the squad have been given over a week of preparation time since our last outing, on Boxing Day against Halifax. We overcame a numerical deficit in the second half to earn a hard-fought point with only 10 men, leaving us in 10th place in the Vanarama National League.

In the FA Trophy, we beat local rivals Macclesfield with some penalty heroics to make it into round four of the competition. This weekend's opponents, Barnet, overcame Aveley to advance through the final regional round and into the hat for the next stage.

Dean Brennan’s side have gone on a remarkable run leading up to the game, avoiding defeat in their previous 10 matches in all competitions. They sit third in the National League with the most goals scored so far this campaign, and they are yet to be beaten at home.

It’s a very tough draw for Altrincham this early in the competition, but our recent home form suggests we are capable of beating anyone at The J.Davidson Stadium.

Last time against Barnet

September 2024 – Altrincham suffered a heart-breaking late defeat in our last fixture against Barnet.

Despite taking an early lead through Justin Amaluzor, Alty came away with nothing from the game after a Harry Chapman equaliser and a 92nd minute winner from Rhys Browne.
