Altrincham are hitting the road this Tuesday as we make our way to Ericstan Stadium to face our local neighbours Wythenshawe Town (7.45pm kick-off).

It has been just over a month since the announcement that Ericstan Stadium will serve as the home for the Alty Academy. Tomorrow, it is the senior squad’s turn to step on to the pitch as we gear up for our fourth pre-season friendly.

After a spirited performance against Stockport County at The J. Davidson Stadium on Saturday, highlighted by Justin Amaluzor's magnificent goal from outside the box, the team will aim to harness the experience as a springboard for securing our first win of the pre-season programme.

Additionally, there is a significant boost for the Robins, with the return of Isaac
Marriott, a key figure in Phil Parkinson’s midfield since his arrival from Bradford (Park Avenue).

About the Opposition

Wythenshawe Town are a team on the rise, setting their sights on promotion for the upcoming campaign after recording an impressive third-place finish in the North West Counties League Premier Division last season.

Our hosts enter the 2023-24 season under new management, with Rory Fallon taking the helm after the successful tenure of James Kinsey, who had successfully guided the club to promotion.

Robins fans may recognise Fallon, with the 32-year-old having previously worked with our youth team.

With six summer signings reinforcing their squad, Wythenshawe Town showcased their strength in a convincing 3-1 victory over Cheadle Heath Nomads last Saturday.

Despite operating four tiers below Altrincham, their young and determined side will be game opponents on Tuesday.
