Alty Community Sports' Simon Dow is guest speaker at the Business Club next week

A glimpse into Altrincham's plans for expanding and developing our community activities awaits Business Club members at their next meeting in The John King Lounge at The J.Davidson Stadium in just over a week's time.

Maintaining the high standard of guest speakers at our monthly breakfast gatherings, community manager Simon Dow will provide members with an in-depth insight into a newly-formed three-year strategic plan aimed at building on the strides already taken by staff at the club.

Simon has held the post for five years now and is immensely proud of the way a varied programme of initiatives has impacted positively on all areas and aspects of the local community.

Never ones to rest on their laurels, the club ran the rule over progress to date and looked into how they could become even more of a focal point for people of all ages and all circumstances in Altrincham and South Trafford.

To that end, the board of trustees, in conjunction with Altrincham FC's board of directors, put in place a working group to produce a brand new strategic plan aimed at providing clear direction and purpose for the next three years of delivering support and service to the areas of our community that need it most.

That, in a nutshell, is the purpose of our community set-up, and Simon relishes his role at the very heart of everything we do in the local area.

He is, as you might expect, heavily involved in ensuring the new three-year plan is implemented as intended, caring for the physical and mental wellbeing of children, youngsters and adults in our region, and he is looking forward to addressing our Business Club and providing a lot more detail in the plush surroundings of The John King Lounge on Friday September 27th.

As is the norm, proceedings get underway at 8.30am with a selection of hot and cold breakfast items, including fresh bread rolls filled with still-sizzling back bacon of the highest quality, and tea and coffee as well as orange juice.

After that, Simon will take centre stage, introducing everyone to our newly-appointed disability officer Alex Heywood and detailing exactly how more time, energy and expertise than ever will go into serving the local community over the next three years.

There will be plenty of time for questions and networking after Simon’s address, and don't forget your business cards so you can enter our monthly prize draw for the chance to win a £40 match day food/drink voucher for the Fan Zone.
