We're excited to announce midfielder Aidan Barlow is our second new recruit ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The 26-year-old joins The Robins following his departure from Rochdale, with whom he won promotion to the EFL via the National League playoffs last season.

Hear it from our new man, Aidan Barlow: "I'm very happy to have signed for Alty ahead of the new season.

"I'm looking forward to the challenge, getting to know the lads and the fans, and really hitting the ground running."

Neil Gibson's delighted to have got Aidan into the club: "We were interested in Aidan as soon as he became available and when I met him I knew he was a player I wanted to work with.

"Aidan's a fantastic footballer, with great technique and tactical awareness and he's someone who really fits the style of play at Alty."

Aidan’s Background

After coming through the ranks at Manchester United and being capped at u17 and 18 level by England, Aidan spent time on loan in Norway with Tromsø before joining Doncaster Rovers in 2021.

Two years at the Keepmoat Stadium followed, then a year in the National League with Eastleigh, ahead of two seasons and over 70 appearances for Rochdale.
