We’re delighted to announce Jake Cooper is the fourth player to agree a new contract to remain at The J.Davidson Stadium for the 2026/27 campaign.

The central defender will enter his sixth season with the Robins looking to build off a strong second half of 2025/26 and add to his 128 appearances for Alty since initially joining on loan from Rotherham United in 2022.

Jake Cooper said:

"I'm really pleased to be continuing my career with Alty. It's a club I've thoroughly enjoyed playing for over the last four and a bit seasons.

"I'm excited to get back in for pre-season, work with the manager again and see what we can achieve as a group in 2026/27."

Manager Neil Gibson said:

"Jake's a player who's done really well for us from the minute we walked through the door at Alty and I'm delighted he'll be part of the squad again for the new season.

"He's someone who is growing as a leader within the group and I'm really looking forward to continuing to work with him."
