The FA Cup returns to The J.Davidson Stadium

Alty welcome Southern League Premier Central leaders Harborough Town to The J. Davidson Stadium this weekend for an Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round Qualifying tie.
Phil Parkinson's side will be looking to put recent struggles in the Enterprise National League behind them as the Robins attempt to put yet another stamp on the historic competition.
A break from National League action
A deserved point at Wealdstone last Saturday brought an end to Alty's losing run just in time to take a break from league action and concentrate fully on this weekend's hugely important Emirates FA Cup tie.
Not only is there the carrot of a place in the First Round Proper at stake, with the potential for a high profile draw against an EFL opponent, but the prize money isn't too bad either, standing at £9,375 for a Fourth Round Qualifying win.
The Opposition
Harborough Town are currently sitting top of the Southern League Premier Central, with six wins and three draws from nine games so far this season.
The undefeated side from Leicestershire come to Moss Lane having reached the second round of the FA Cup last season, where they lost 5-3 away to League One side Reading, having beaten the likes of Leamington, Bury and Tonbridge on their 2024/25 Cup run.
The Gaffer
"FA Cup games are big games for us every year, with the history Altrincham have in the competition. We've managed to get to the second round once while I've been here, against Portsmouth. It's one of the most frustrating parts of the job, not having another good cup run.
"Harborough pose a really big threat to us. They have some good, experienced players in their side. The big thing for us is that we're at home and we've got to be confident going into the game off a good result at Wealdstone and the performances of recent weeks."

Security Checks on Matchdays
Working closely with our stewarding team, and in consultation with Greater Manchester Police, we are carrying out screening procedures to prevent potential weapons or prohibited items from entering the ground. These checks are now becoming common practice at football stadiums across the country and are part of our shared responsibility to protect each other.
The introduction of Martyn’s Law (Terrorism Protection of Premises Act 2025) has also placed greater emphasis on the legal duty of venues like ours to assess risks and have robust safety plans in place. While much of this reflects what we already do, it reinforces the need for vigilance and preparation in today’s world.
We completely understand that supporters may sometimes feel these checks go too far. However, we want to be clear: safety will always come first. Our goal is to provide the best possible matchday experience in a safe and welcoming environment for all.
On behalf of the club, thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support as we put these important measures into practice.
