Save the date - Alty start pre-season at Warrington on July 12th

Preparations for Altrincham's 2025-26 campaign will begin in earnest in less than two months' time with a pre-season friendly away to Warrington Town.

The Robins are making good progress with arrangements for warm-up games ahead of next season and can announce that the senior squad will be put through their paces for the first time at Cantilever Park, now known as The Cal.Delivery Stadium, on Saturday July 12th, kicking off at 3pm.

Warrington have already kindly supplied us with details of admission, with prices set at £10 for adults, £6 concessions (students and pensioners) and £2 for juniors aged under 16.

It's a repeat friendly fixture for Alty after we made the short journey to Cantilever Park last July and won 2-0 with a Matty Kosylo goal just after the hour-mark and a Regan Linney penalty in added time.

The trialists that day included Tylor Golden and Kahrel Reddin, who clearly made the right impression as they went on to secure a place in the Robins squad, and there will doubtless be more hopefuls on show this time, as well as more familiar faces and anyone signed in the meantime.

Warrington have just been relegated to the Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division, after finishing second-bottom in the Vanarama National League North, but they are sure to provide a highly-competitive test for Alty after manager Paul Carden released nine players earlier this week in an attempt to build a new-look squad capable of taking them straight back up.

So, that's Saturday July 12th, kick-off 3pm, at The Cal.Delivery Stadium - watch out for more details of the pre-season programme, as we have them, here on the club's website and our social media channels.
