Alty are set to play their second away game in four days as we travel to York Road to face Maidenhead United in the Vanarama National League (7.45pm kick-off).

Setting the Scene

The Robins suffered a heavy defeat at the weekend in our opening away fixture of the 2024/25 campaign, losing 5-0 to the recently relegated Sutton United.

The hosts scored four goals in the final 20 minutes of the first half before Ashley Nadesan added the fifth goal in the 84th minute. Phil Parkinson will be looking for a much-improved performance from the team on Tuesday and hopefully return to winning ways.

Our opponents also head into Tuesday’s clash on the back of a loss against a difficult opponent. At the ARMCO Arena, Maidenhead were beaten 2-1 by last season’s playoff finalists, Solihull Moors.

Despite two defeats in their opening two games, Maidenhead will provide a stern test for Altrincham as they are hungry to earn their first points of the season.

Last time against Maidenhead United

February 2024 – The Robins were beaten 3-1 at the J. Davidson Stadium in the last meeting between the two sides.

An early goal from Lewis Banks gave Alty the lead, but goals from Kevin Lokko, Reece Smith and Remy Clerima ensured Maidenhead won the three points.

For the first time in the Vanarama National League, we will wear our new 2024/25 away kit – produced by Puma and sponsored by AO, McHale & Co. and Car Finance 247.
