We hit the road this Saturday (3pm kick-off) as we look to extend our ten-game unbeaten streak in the Vanarama National League when we take on Eastleigh at Silverlake Stadium.

Alty (5th, 32pts) will be keen to underline their playoff credentials against a Spitfires side (11th, 24pts) that are finding success across league and cup competitions.

Our hosts enter this weekend boosted by recent results, having comfortably beaten Boreham Wood 5-1 in the Emirates FA Cup 1st Round before securing a point on the road against Oldham Athletic last Saturday.

The Gaffer

On Altrincham’s impressive run of form: “I think we’re making a big noise and that is what I want us to be (doing). There is no point in me playing things down. We have reassessed the goals, we have got different aspirations now.”

The importance of a week’s break in the fixtures: “We have worked exceptionally hard. We haven’t taken our foot off the gas with everything we have been doing on and off the pitch. You could see it (tonight). I’m not going to tell you too much about what we were working on, but anyone who studies the game or sees the little nuances that we put into place, it worked a treat.”

Last time at Eastleigh

Eastleigh 3-2 Altrincham (Jordan Hulme 28’, Eddie Jones 90’+3)

March of this year – Altrincham fought back after finding themselves two down inside ten minutes and were unfortunate not to receive a penalty in the dying minutes for a chance to level the game.

The trip to Silverlake Stadium marked our sixth consecutive away game, before we triumphantly returned to The J. Davidson Stadium the following weekend with a 1-0 victory over Southend United.
