Altrincham play their second home game in four days as we host Dagenham & Redbridge at the J. Davidson Stadium in the Vanarama National League on Tuesday (kick-off 7.45pm).
Setting the Scene
The Robins drew for the second weekend in a row after an action-packed clash with Boston United ended 2-2 in our last game.
The bulk of the action began shortly after the second half commenced, as the visitors’ goalkeeper, Cameron Gregory, was sent off for a foul on Justin Amaluzor. Altrincham capitalised on our numerical advantage with two goals in two minutes from Alex Newby and Regan Linney, but the Pilgrims responded with two late goals to claim a point.
Our third draw of the season leaves us 17th in the table with 12 points from our opening 10 games. On 16 points in eighth place are our next opponents, Dagenham & Redbridge.
They head to The J. Davidson on the back of three consecutive wins, including a 7-1 demolition of the league leaders at the time, Gateshead.
The Gaffer
“I believe in working with the players, developing the players, making sure they're doing the right things on the pitch, not panicking when things go wrong.
“I don’t look at things through rose-tinted glasses which I know some people probably think at times because I am positive about what we do, but I’m only positive when we do the right things and we’ve done a lot of good stuff today [against Boston].

Last time against Dagenham & Redbridge
March 2024 – The Robins were on the end of a 3-1 defeat when we last faced Dagenham & Redbridge.
Regan Linney responded to a Ryan Hill penalty with a penalty of his own to take the teams into the half-time break level, but two quick goals from Josh Rees and Harry Phipps just after the hour mark gave the Daggers the three points on home ground.
