Lucas Weaver returns from loan spell

Winger Lucas Weaver has returned to Alty after a planned short loan spell at Radcliffe in the National League North.

In his stint with The Boro, Weaver managed two goals in four appearances, proving his worth in a higher division after impressing at Bamber Bridge in the early part of the season.

The former Colne man had a huge impact at Brig, where he left the Northern Premier League Premier Division as the league’s joint-third top goal scorer after scoring nine league goals before the start of November and eight in his final seven games in all competitions.

His electric pace and clinical finishing make him a nightmare matchup for any non-league full-back, and given the intensity of the Christmas schedule, his profile will be a welcome addition to the Altrincham squad.

Weaver got off the mark in Alty colours when he scored against Blackburn Rovers in the National League Cup, and he will be hoping to contribute to the Robins’ play-off push as we head towards the second half of the season.

Many thanks to Spencer Hayes Group and Darren Harrison for sponsoring Lucas this season.
