In a new feature each Monday morning, we will bring you a progress report on those Altrincham players who are out on loan and tell you how they have fared over the weekend. Here is the first of our weekly updates.

Zak Goodson - Boston United

Alty's talented attacker had the misfortune to break his wrist on his Boston debut against Chester, cutting short his loan spell with the Pilgrims. Surgery is not required, but he has a plaster cast on his wrist and faces six to eight weeks on the sidelines.

Liam Brockbank - Gloucester City

Another to suffer an unlucky early injury setback, but, in Liam's case, it has not scuppered his loan move. Alty's attacking left-back picked up an ankle knock and is recovering with the Robins, but he will be back playing for Gloucester again in a week or so.

Aidan Roxburgh - Ashton United

Aidy started for Ashton in his customary right-back position as they missed out on the chance to move up the Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division table after losing 1-0 to Nantwich Town at Hurst Cross.

One of the bright spots in an otherwise below-par Ashton performance, the Alty defender (pictured pre-season against Stockport County) almost set up a late equaliser with a determined run that led to a free-kick on the edge of the area, only for the set-piece to be saved.

Ryan Morton and Jayden Matthew - both Trafford

Jayden has gone down with a hamstring injury that will keep him out for several weeks, and he is therefore back with Alty, but Ryan got more valuable minutes under his belt over the weekend, as Trafford recorded an excellent 2-1 win at Hanley Town.

Alty's free-scoring young frontrunner went on as a 74th-minute substitute, as Trafford climbed to seventh in the Pitching In NPL West Division table, level on points with fifth-placed Runcorn Linnets, at the expense of a Hanley side containing James Lawrie and Ryan Shotton.

Ryan Forde, Amaar Hussain, Josh Jordan, Harlan Rodgers-Morris and Ewan McGeady - all Alsager Town

Alty keeper Ryan has unfortunately suffered a long-term knee injury which is going to keep him out for a while, and he is back with the Robins. Harlan missed Saturday's game at Stockport Town through illness and though Amaar started, he came off on the half-hour mark after feeling a slight problem with his knee.

The other two young Alty prospects both played a full part and showed up well in a 1-0 defeat at Stockport Sports Village against the North West Counties League Division One South pacesetters.

Josh put in another really solid performance, winning all his one-against-one challenges and defensively rock solid against two very good strikers, while Ewan was excellent defensively and showed an admirable eagerness to create a threat going forward whenever possible.
