Goalkeeper Harry Isted has been added to Neil Gibson's squad ahead of tonight's Enterprise National League encounter with Gateshead at The Gateshead International Stadium.

The former Luton Town and Charlton Athletic stopper, who'll wear number 34, played 29 games in the National League for Forest Green Rovers last season and joins the Robins following a recent injury to number one Owen Evans.

"I'm really pleased to have signed for Alty," the 29-year-old said. "Everyone has been really welcoming in the short time I've been here. I know Charlie Kirk quite well from my time at Charlton and I played at Stoke with Lewis Banks; it's been good to see them again and training has been really productive so far."

Manager Neil Gibson's thoughts on the recruitment of Harry: "We really happy to have been able to get Harry into the building on a short-term deal and I'm really thankfully for the support of the board in getting Harry over the line.

"He's a goalkeeper with a lot of experience and hunger, has played in the EFL and also knows the National League level well having played for Forest Green last season.

"A special mention for Andy Firth, who's played very well in recent games, deputising for Owen Evans. Andy's a very good goalie at this level, but his role is very much as goalkeeper coach first and foremost.

"Because of that we feel it's too long a period, with Owen's absence, to expect Andy to play week in, week out for the next few months, while also carrying out his other important roles at the club, hence the addition of Harry to the group as we look to continue with our winning run and the positivity built up over recent weeks."
