Everything you need to know for Saturday’s game!
It may feel like forever since the 2021/22 season came to a close but football is back at The J.Davidson Stadium this Saturday!
Ahead of the new campaign, we wanted to update all fans on the all the latest in and around the stadium prior to our first home game against Stockport on Saturday.
Here is ten things both home and away fans need to know ahead of the game!
- Can I still buy a ticket?

Please note we do not accept cards so please buy online in advance or use the ATM opposite the ground at the convenience store.
- What time should I arrive?
Judging by advanced online sales, a good attendance is anticipated so we kindly ask all supporters – home and away – to arrive early to ensure you are in the ground and avoid late queues. Whilst queuing to enter the ground, please avoid standing or walking in the surrounding roads. If there is a queue outside your turnstile, we politely request you stand in line safely on the pavement. We would like to remind all attendees that under-12s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Please note, all supporters will be searched with a metal detector on entry to the stadium for your own safety.
- What food and drink is available?
Contrary to previous communications, we regret to inform supporters that drinking is prohibited on the terraces for our upcoming two home pre-season friendlies. The bar in the CSH will be available and the VP Lounge for our LoyAlty VIP and Elite members.
The full menu is available in all three food outlets offering a wide range of options to home and away fans, and you can check out the offering below.
- What parts of the stadium are out of bounds?
You will note there remains some areas that are cordoned off by scaffolding or netting for your safety which we kindly ask all supporters to stay clear of. Similarly, you will see developments around the Fan Zone but this remains out of bounds as development has restarted there. We thank all fans for respecting those areas along with any instructions from the stewarding team.
- Will the club shop be open and will there be a programme?
Unfortunately the answer is no on both counts. The first matchday programme of the season will be published for our opening league game in two weeks. The Puma merchandise has been shipped to the club and is available for pre-order now.
- Will seating be available for away fans?
There are a small number of seats allocated for away fans in the family stand. Those wanting to sit should arrive early as it will be first come, first served.
- Which gate is available for wheelchair or pushchair access?
Please enter gate 5 if you are bring a pushchair or require wheelchair access and you will be well looked after.
- Can I bring food or drink into the stadium?
Standard procedures are in place with the list of prohibited items published on posters outside the ground. Please do not attempt to bring fish and chips (we know they’re good, but sorry!), or cans/bottles etc that are bigger than 330ml.
- What do I do if my Season Ticket or LoyAlty card has not arrived?
You will also have received an online ticket via email that you can download and add to your wallet. The vast majority of you will have received yours either by collecting at the club or in the post. If not, you will need to go to the red door on the corner of the Golf Road with ID to collect your card.
And last but not least…..
We sincerely hope both sets of fans enjoy the game! Please respect each other, the staff and the stewarding team and let’s enjoy this friendly between two great clubs.
