Altrincham are delighted to announce that an agreement has been reached for striker Connor Jennings’ loan to be extended for a further month.
The Stockport County centre-forward has contributed significantly to Alty’s current unbeaten run in the Vanarama National League, and the club can now confirm that he will continue to lead the line as the Robins look to maintain their impressive form.
It comes as a huge boost to manager Phil Parkinson as he looks to plot a way through a busy December programme that includes league games against Maidstone United, Maidenhead United and FC Halifax Town as well as an FA Trophy tie with Curzon Ashton.
Connor joined us from Stockport on an initial one-month loan on November 7th and went straight into the starting line-up 24 hours later for the 2-0 home defeat to Barnet.
He has since had a growing influence on the team’s fortunes, settling in quickly and figuring prominently in home wins over York City and Eastleigh and impressive away performances at Woking and Southend United that produced a point apiece but could easily have yielded more.
As the Robins head to Maidstone for Saturday’s 3pm kick-off, he continues to be available along with his in-form fellow-Stockport loanee Elliot Newby, following a successful request for an extension to his stay at The J.Davidson Stadium.
The club are hugely grateful to Stockport for their continuing cooperation and, of course, to Connor for readily consenting to carry on in Alty colours.
Alty’s promising young striker Lewis Billingsley has signed for Ashton Athletic on a dual registration. The free-scoring frontrunner was due to join his club-mates Sharif Deans and Josh Jordan on a month’s loan at Widnes, but he will now be available for Ashton, starting with tonight’s North West Counties League Premier Division fixture away to West Didsbury & Chorlton, kicking off at 7.45pm.
