Altrincham travel to The EBB Stadium on Saturday in search of a victorious season finale against Aldershot Town (kick-off 5:30pm).
The Robins will be keen to bounce back from the mid-week Cheshire Senior Cup final heartbreak against Congleton Town and leave a positive stamp on an impressive third season in the Vanarama National League.
Altrincham manager Phil Parkinson said after Thursday’s final: “We’ve got to go into Saturday and put on a performance for our fans and a little bit of pride.
“That has been the message I have been giving them all week in terms of taking pride in the performance. You can’t just switch it on and off; you can’t underestimate your opponent.”
Ryan Colclough’s late penalty against the Shots (pictured) earned Alty their first win of the season back in September.
A return victory over Aldershot could see Altrincham finish the season as high as 14th place.

About the Opposition
Saturday’s 2-2 draw on the road to York City ensured Aldershot remained in the National League for an 11th consecutive season.
The Shots will be keen to end April undefeated, having picked up two wins and four draws over the course of their relegation dogfight.
Aldershot manager Tommy Widdrington said: “After the York game, it means that the (Altrincham) game has less pressure on it but we have still got to turn up and put a performance on and win the match.
“All I have ever asked the players to do, game to game, is to think about the next game and that is it.”
Pacey winger Justin Amaluzor represents the Shots’ danger man, having bagged eight goals over 29 games.
Alty will also have to be on the top of their game to get past defender Tyler Cordner, an England C international who has accumulated a healthy seven goals for the Shots this season.
