The Robins head home this weekend

The Robins entertain Braintree Town on Saturday (3pm) as The J.Davidson Stadium plays host to another hugely significant encounter in the Enterprise National League.

It's a fourth home game in a row for Neil Gibson's men, after last Saturday's trip to Woking was called off - with another massive three points on the line as the 2025/26 season heads towards its final two months.

The Opposition

Braintree sit inside the relegation places in 21st position on 30 points, with 13 matches remaining of 2025/26.

Steve Pitt's side are the lowest scorers in the division with just 22 goals, but are unbeaten in their last three league outings - a 2-1 win over Eastleigh, followed by draws at Sutton United and at home to Solihull Moors last Saturday.

Hear It From The Gaffer

"The three points and clean sheet against Wealdstone were extremely important and we look to build on that again on Saturday against Braintree.

"It's another home game with our fantastic support behind us, as they always are. We're looking to build on the Braintree win heading into the final quarter of the season."

Main Match Sponsor

A big shout out to long-time supporter of the club, Nigel Swinbank, for taking out the main match sponsorship of Saturday's game. The support is hugely appreciated and we hope Nigel and his guests have a fantastic time with us in The John King Lounge.

If you'd like to sponsor one of our remaining home games in 2025/26, you'll have to be quick as packages are now extremely limited. Click here for details and availability.

Fan Engagement

We were also excited this week to announce the launch of our new Fan Engagement Project, which aims to strengthen the connection between the club and supporters.

For all the info on the project click here.

Our all-new Pie and Pint combo deal in the CSH Bar will be on offer once again - grab both matchday staples for just £9 before or during the game. Pie of the Month for February is Chunky Steak.

Security on Matchdays

Working closely with our stewarding team, and in consultation with Greater Manchester Police, we are carrying out screening procedures to prevent potential weapons or prohibited items from entering the ground. These checks are now becoming common practice at football stadiums across the country and are part of our shared responsibility to protect each other.

The introduction of Martyn’s Law (Terrorism Protection of Premises Act 2025) has also placed greater emphasis on the legal duty of venues like ours to assess risks and have robust safety plans in place. While much of this reflects what we already do, it reinforces the need for vigilance and preparation in today’s world.

We completely understand that supporters may sometimes feel these checks go too far. However, we want to be clear: safety will always come first. Our goal is to provide the best possible matchday experience in a safe and welcoming environment for all.

On behalf of the club, thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support as we put these important measures into practice.
