The Hundred in 100! Help us get 100 more season tickets holders in the next 100 hours!
Altrincham have launched a new initiative aimed at driving season ticket sales to record levels and generating funds that would be earmarked for another new signing to further bolster the squad for the season ahead.
In a scheme that is being called 'The Hundred in 100', the club are hoping to maintain the momentum created by a summer of spectacular progress on and off the pitch by adding 100 new arrivals to the highly-valued ranks of season ticket holders in the 100 hours between now and kick-off against Dagenham & Redbridge at The J.Davidson Stadium on Saturday.
That is why it is being launched at 11am this Tuesday morning and will run until the whistle sounds at 3pm on Saturday afternoon to signal the dawn of another Vanarama National League campaign.
There is another reason, of course - there's a sense of optimism and excitement unlike any other in the Robins' recent history, and the club are determined to build on that and keep our fortunes moving in an upward trajectory.
Manager Phil Parkinson is more than happy with the squad he has put together during the summer months but would welcome another marquee addition to guard against the usual vagaries of a long, demanding season.
The success of this latest campaign can only strengthen his hand in that objective, and there are plenty more incentives for anyone thinking of committing to a season ticket and, in particular, any existing season ticket holder who refers someone.
If you already have a season ticket for 2023-24 prior to today's date and someone buying one between now and Saturday afternoon names you as the person who referred them, you will receive a £50 voucher to be spent on anything you like from the online club shop.
In addition, ALL season ticket holders, existing ones and anyone who purchases in the next 100 hours, will be entered into a free draw, with prizes including hospitality for four at a forthcoming home game and a signed Alty shirt.
On top of all that, there is the obvious extra attraction of a guaranteed place at every home league game and priority access to Cup tickets, an increasingly important consideration for Alty fans these days given the number of near-capacity crowds last season.
"It's great that the club are coming up with ideas for increasing season ticket numbers, because it means so much to me and the players," said Alty boss Phil. "I want to see as competitive a squad of players as possible representing Altrincham, but that goes hand-in-hand with how competitive we can make the budget.
"We have managed to add quality and experience to all areas of the squad, which I'm really excited about, but we all know what can happen during the course of a season, with injuries and suspension, so if we are able to recruit one more, so much the better.
"It means a lot to the players, as well, because they love nothing better than stepping out before a massive Moss Lane crowd, and if we achieve record season ticket sales, that's going to happen more often than not.
"If you have already bought a season ticket, you have my heartfelt thanks, and if you are able to further boost the numbers by referring someone, you will be doing me even more of a favour - and you will have earned the £50 voucher that will be heading your way!"
What a summer it has been at The J.Davidson Stadium, with the appointment of the club's first-ever Chief Executive Officer in John Williams, followed by former Barrow director Levi Gill as Process Improvement and Operations Manager, the fan zone finished off and already proving popular and the club's transfer record being broken to make crowd-pleaser Chris Conn-Clarke a full-time Alty player.
"There is real momentum going into the new season," said John Williams. "That has been apparent from the day I started, just over a week ago. Everyone is pulling together and everything is geared to hitting the ground running, and we want to keep that going throughout the new campaign and beyond.
"The whole aim of the football club is to support Phil as much as possible and provide him with whatever he needs to continue the success story of the last six years. Season ticket sales plays an integral role in that, so we are all hoping our bold target of adding another 100 to the tally in the next 100 hours is something we can achieve.
"It's been some journey so far under Phil and Neil Sorvel, and it promises to be more exciting than ever - why not join us and make sure of your place at every game with a 2023-24 season ticket."
