ALTY are hunting their third straight Vanarama National League victory this Saturday (3pm kick-off) as we welcome Gateshead to The J. Davidson Stadium on Non-League Day.

The Robins (7th, 61pts) find themselves in the thick of the playoff battle following a hard-fought 1-0 win on the road to Boreham Wood. Meanwhile, the Tynesiders (8th, 60pts) will be eager to leapfrog us in the league table as ex-Alty forward Marcus Dinanga returns to Moss Lane this weekend.

Hear from the Gaffer

Importance of Justin Donowa’s return: “It was perfect timing with JD going out on loan and returning fit. He absolutely performed (filling in for Lewis Banks), but the whole back four have battled today - which we need to do game on game.”

Turnaround in form: “There will be more tricky challenges ahead, more twists and turns, but where we were a couple of weeks ago to where we are now is football. One win can change the season. So we learn from what we have experienced. Don’t get carried away dreaming about promotion, just enjoy this moment, enjoy the ride, and who knows where it’ll take us.”

Last time against Gateshead

Gateshead 0-2 Altrincham (Justin Amaluzor 47’, Justin Donowa 92’)

Last October – Goals from Justin Amaluzor and Justin Donowa secured all three points for the Robins in a meeting between two of the league’s most attack-minded teams.

A feisty edge to the encounter raised the performance levels of both sides, but it was Alty’s clinical finishing in the final third that proved the difference at the Gateshead International Stadium.

Match Sponsors

Many thanks to Coverex for being our main match sponsors this weekend (for the second time this season). The support is hugely appreciated.

We'd also like to say a big thank you to supporter group The Flaggers - our match ball sponsors for Saturday's game. They are also sponsoring a game for the second time this season.

Non-League Day x Prostate Cancer UK

We're delighted to have teamed up with Non-League Day and Prostate Cancer UK as one of 10 showpiece games this weekend.

Prostate Cancer UK has been involved with Non-League Day for the last decade and are Altrincham FC Community Sports' match day charity on Saturday, with help from Alty fan and brilliant fundraiser Tony Collier.

Non-League Day Testimonial

"Living locally, and with a child who plays for one of the teams in Alty's thriving junior section, I try to get down to Moss Lane whenever possible and enjoy watching National League action.

"Phil Parkinson & his side have produced some exceptional football this season, and now have a great chance of a place in the play-offs & maybe even a historic promotion to the Football League.

"I wish them - and all the staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes to develop the club - all the best this weekend on Non-League Day, and for the remainder of the season" - Dan Roan (Sports Editor, BBC News)
