Altrincham return to The J.Davidson Stadium for the second consecutive
weekend to face Ebbsfleet United in the Vanarama National League (3pm kick off) on Saturday.

Setting the Scene

After back-to-back losses in the previous two matches, Altrincham came from behind to earn a draw against local rivals Oldham Athletic in our last game.

A first-half strike from James Norwood put the visitors ahead, but after a period of
sustained pressure, Alty drew level after Regan Linney expertly guided a header into the bottom corner.

With seven points from the opening six games, the Robins are 15th in the National League table heading into this weekend’s fixture where we face the side in 24th .

The Fleet have struggled in their start to the season, picking up only one point so far, against recently promoted side Braintree. The Kent side will be desperate for their first three points of the season, so, regardless of their current points tally, they will provide Altrincham with another tough challenge.

The Gaffer

"We've had such a tough, tough start. We have to keep believing in what we're doing, believing in the players and having the fans getting behind us, which is what they have been doing week in, week out. Our fans have been fantastic."

Last time against Ebbsfleet

April 2024 – The Robins earned a historic win on the last occasion these two sides faced one another.

First half goals from Alex Newby and Regan Linney helped Altrincham to a 2-0 win away from home in the penultimate game of the season. Those three points were enough to confirm Alty’s top-seven finish and a place in the National League
play-offs.
