Phil Bell’s funeral cortège will stop briefly at The J.Davidson Stadium tomorrow (Friday) around 11am, before travelling to Altrincham Crematorium for Phil’s funeral service at 11.30am.

Phil, who sadly passed away last month, had been a loyal Alty fan for over 50 years and was exceptionally popular with the many Alty fans who knew him.

Phil was a regular traveller on coaches to away games. normally sitting behind the driver and he demonstrated his love, loyalty and support for Alty by volunteering to drive the minibus to Yeovil, last October, for a Tuesday night game in Somerset, a 17 hour round trip of almost 500 miles!

As well as football, Phil was also a cricket and golf lover. He is pictured below on a recent golfing trip to Scotland.

Phil’s family and friends attended Saturday’s opening game of the season against Maidstone United and everyone at Altrincham Football Club offers very sincere condolences to his family, particularly his 2 sons, Stuart (a lifelong Alty fan)  and Simon along with his partner Marie.

Rest in peace, Phil, you will be very sadly missed.
