Manchester United under-21s' visit to The J.Davidson Stadium headlines an intriguing pre-season schedule for Neil Gibson’s Robins as preparations continue ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The Red Devils’ young stars head for Moss Lane for a Friday night clash, just six days after we entertain old rivals Macclesfield on Saturday, July 25th.

The Club is also in the final stages of confirming an additional fixture for Saturday, July 18th, with final agreement currently being completed with our proposed opponents.

The pre-season programme has been carefully curated to provide the squad with a sensible and progressive build up ahead of the Enterprise National League campaign kicking off on Saturday, August 8th, with a variety of different tests designed to support both conditioning and match preparation throughout the summer.

We begin our pre-season schedule in North Wales on Saturday, July 11th, taking on Cymru Premier outfit Colwyn Bay at The Blue Turtle Arena (3pm).

Parking is available on both front and rear car parks at the stadium, as well as next to the venue on Llanelian Road.

Our second friendly takes us the short hop to Wythenshawe Town on Tuesday, July 14th for a 7:45pm kick-off.

Admission is by cash or card at the turnstiles with three hours free parking available on Tesco next door to Ericstan Park.

We then head for Lancashire on Tuesday, July 21st for a friendly meeting with Andy Preece’s Chorley.

The Magpies finished last season in 15th position in the Enterprise National League North.

Old rivals Macclesfield will visit The J.Davidson Stadium on Saturday, July 25th for the first of two home pre-season games on Moss Lane – kick-off at 3pm.

Ticket prices have been set at £10 for adults (supporters aged 18 and over) and £5 for juniors (supporters aged 17 and under).

• Segregation will be in place
• Season tickets are not valid for home pre-season games
• New mandated rules from the National League mean under-14s must be accompanied by an adult

Our pre-season schedule comes to an end on the evening of Friday, July 31st with the exciting prospect of Manchester United under-21s heading for The J.Davidson Stadium for a 7pm kick-off.

A 2025/26 Premier League 2 regular season finish of second paved the way for United to win through three rounds of knockout games before losing in the playoff final to Brighton & Hove Albion on May 16th.
