Ashville 1 Alsager Town 2
Lews Billingsley again figured prominently for Alsager Town as the Bullets continued to put distance between themselves and the bottom three in the North West Counties League South Division.
Alty's young frontrunner has made a positive impact in his brief spell with the Wood Park club, and he was in the thick of the action once more as they recorded an excellent away win.
In only the second minute, Alsager showed their intent to be on the front foot, and it was Lewis delivering the message with a firmly-struck low drive that the Ashville keeper managed to smother.
Ten minutes later, Lewis turned provider with a deft cushioned header that so nearly set up an opening goal for Kallam Boyle, who uncharacteristically dragged his shot wide from a good position.
The home side went ahead slightly against the run of play in the 19th minute, but there was plenty of Alty involvement in a deserved Alsager equaliser in the 61st minute.
On-loan Robins keeper Ryan Forde, who again shone between the posts, distributed a superb ball up the pitch, and Lewis played his part in keeping alive a move that ended with an Ashville defender turning it into his own net.
Alty winger Dion Siboko Bohe went on as an 82nd-minute substitute, and, six minutes later, the points were heading back to Alsager after Boyle added to his impressive recent tally of goals with another assured finish.
Buxton 2 Spennymoor 1
Brad Jackson and his Buxton team-mates continue to eye a possible Vanarama National League North play-off place after extending their unbeaten run at the expense of a Spennymoor side who were without Zak Goodson due to the Alty forward having a slight knock.
Buxton were in front in the 20th minute, and the lead was doubled in the 41st minute when Alty winger Brad whipped in a perfect cross for Sam Osborne to head home his and the Bucks' second goal.
Brad was substituted in the 71st minute but only after bringing the best out of the Spennymoor keeper with a fierce drive for a Buxton side who are now undefeated in 15 games following this deserved win against Spennymoor, who reduced the arrears three minutes from time.
Darlington 1 Chester 2
Darlington suffered a blow to their promotion hopes after conceding in the 40th and 64th minutes and only getting on to the scoresheet themselves in the final few seconds.
It wasn't ideal for Jake Cooper, with worried manager Alun Armstrong admitting his side were lacking confidence, but the Alty centre-back could not be faulted and got a valuable 90 minutes under his belt after missing the previous week's game with a slight niggle.
Mossley 1 Bootle 0
Eden Bailey wore the number nine shirt for Mossley and played the full 90 minutes as they stayed in contention for a play-off place in the Pitching In Northern Premier League West Division with an eighth-minute goal at Seel Park.
Widnes 1 Workington 0
What a result for Widnes as they did their NPL West Division survival hopes a power of good with this win against third-placed Workington.
Alty's young striker Sharif Deans won a recall to the starting line-up and underlined his determination to make the most of it with an excellent effort from the edge of the area in the 27th minute that the keeper did well to parry to safety.
Sharif was substituted in the 76th minute, and the points were secured for Widnes 10 minutes later when former Robins winger Sean Miller fired home the winner.
Irlam 0 Remyca United 2
Not the result Irlam were looking for, but there was more beneficial experience of senior football for Alty youngster Owen German, who was in their starting line-up for this North West Counties League Premier Division fixture.
*Young Alty defender Joe Cooney was on the bench for Northwich Victoria's 3-2 away win over Longridge Town.
