Joseph's Challenge - No Limits | Weekly Update

Where to start !!

Another solid training week. Joseph completed his 8th ParkRun at Wilmslow cruising round in a solid 35 minutes 39 seconds.

With less than a week to go, Joseph is looking strong and determined. Special thanks to Jeff Ross at Harris and Ross for getting Joseph back on the road when he had an injury early in his training – special orthotics insoles and daily stretching have done the trick.

Also a shout out to the team at Altius Healthcare on Park Road who have given him regular sports massages (apparently Joseph is the only person who falls asleep in a sports massage – most people are gritting their teeth with the pain!!). And probably the biggest support of all has come from the Village Café in Hale who inspire Joseph on every weekend training run with the thought of his breakfast, although we should also mention Sharon at Hale Barber shop who has been keeping him looking sharp while threatening to shave Go Faster stripes next time he comes in!! Altrincham is a community football club and the support from the local community for this challenge has been immense.

The team launched a new Instagram account @nolimits.foundation which will be used to share video clips of the challenge and ongoing content about the No Limits ethos after the event so it’s well worth a follow.

Media attention has gone a little crazy with a LADbible post on the challenge attracting 108,000 likes so far and rising!

Joseph has also been interviewed on Radio Alty which you can hear below and also did a pre record with Hits Radio which should be coming out soon.

He has even had an approach from the US to make a film around the Challenge!! Think we need to focus on getting it done though!! Joseph was also interviewed with his Dad by the team at Houlihan Lokey;

On Tuesday Joseph and Dad, Phil (aka “official bag carrier”) were hosted at Sale Sharks by their owner Michelle Orange, with Head Coach Alex Sanderson joining their team meeting, where England International, Ben Curry awarded Joseph a special jersey with a No 10 on it to mark his 10x10ks and then he was invited to watch the squad go through their paces which was pretty eye watering – think running 100k would be easier than doing tackle practice with those boys. Finally he joined the squad for lunch – he couldn’t have been made more welcome and just like at Alty, the friendly but focused culture shone through in every aspect of the day.

On the sponsorship front, we continue to make amazing progress and are fast approaching our revised £250k target (after passing our initial £100k target) – as this is a No Limits challenge we are going to up the target again to £300k as of today !

Special shout out to everyone who has supported us.

Our main shirt sponsor AO, official partners Travel Counsellors, Castore, DMR, Houlihan Lokey, FK Group and Farrat and key sponsors The Stamford Quarter, Mission to Mars (owners of Rudy’s and Albert’s Schloss), BrewDog (Joseph works one day a week in the DogHouse in the city centre alongside his college studies and volunteering in the Alty Club shop), Sale Sharks and Edge Logistics have all made substantial contributions alongside many private donors. Every donation whether large or small is treasured and will make a huge difference to the impact we can make after the Challenge is completed on 1 September. No Limits doesn’t stop there !! Countdown is on – Go Joseph !!
