Josh Lundstram's outstanding form for Altrincham this season has been rewarded with his first-ever international cap after he made the final cut for the upcoming game between England C and Wales C at The J.Davidson Stadium.
Alty's energetic and influential midfielder was hoping to make the breakthrough at international level after being named in the provisional 25-man squad by England manager Paul Fairclough.
After an anxious wait, Josh can now look forward to pulling on an England shirt for the first time after Fairclough trimmed his squad to the 16 who will be on duty and unsurprisingly included our dynamic and versatile midfielder in it.
What a prospect for Alty fans, international football under The J.Davidson Stadium lights next Tuesday, March 21st (kick-off 7.45pm) and the chance to see Josh underlining why his signing from Crewe Alexandra last summer was viewed as a coup by everyone at the club.
Many congratulations Josh - pictured in action at York City on Tuesday night, where he had another excellent game in a 2-1 win for Alty - and here's hoping you're out there in the middle from the start.
Tickets are a bargain at just £7 for adults and £2 for under-16s and are available online - let's turn out in numbers and get behind not only England but our very own international midfield star!
