Altrincham's blockbuster clash with title favourites Barnet at The J.Davidson Stadium has been selected as the pick of the Non-League Day fixtures and will be screened live on national television.
Alty's long unbeaten home record, stretching back to Eastleigh on August 24th, always made this March 22nd showdown the stand-out attraction of that weekend's Vanarama National League fixture list and one not to be missed.
Fans and neutrals are expected to pack The J.Davidson Stadium, and the television cameras will be there as well after DAZN chose it as the game ideally suited to show non-League football in its best light, with the kick-off time now changing to 5.30pm.
It's a feather in Alty's cap to be handed the opportunity to showcase all that is good about the non-League game, and DAZN could hardly have wished for a better fixture to celebrate this special event in the non-League calendar.
Each year, Non-League Day is timed to coincide with international weekend, when the Premier League steps back and allows the spotlight to fall on the National League and all the divisions below that constitute grassroots football.
It is a concept Alty are always happy to embrace to the full, and the club pride themselves on organising a wide range of attractions aimed at convincing anyone new to the stadium that it's worth visiting again.
This year will be no different. Plans are already in hand to make it a special matchday experience on Saturday March 22nd, and they will be brought to you, here on the club's website and on our social media channels, nearer the time.
For all the appeal of a food menu catering for all tastes, extensive list of drinks and programme of entertainment the whole family will enjoy, the main attraction, of course, will be the match itself.
And what a spectacle it promises to be.
An Alty side going great guns at home, with Regan Linney leading the line with matchwinning goals on a regular basis, against a Barnet side whose boss Dean Brennan is the current National League manager of the month after they went four points clear at the top of the table.
Can the Bees avenge their 3-1 Isuzu FA Trophy defeat last month at the hands of the Robins, or can Alty take a significant step nearer securing a place in the play-offs for a second successive season?
All will be revealed on Saturday March 22nd, kicking off at 5.30pm. Watch out for full details in the coming weeks of what promises to be a special day, and, in the meantime, make sure you don't miss it by booking your place here.
